To teach any class at primary, secondary and senior secondary level it is important to possess a degree in Bachelors of education. This course or degree forms a basis in teaching and guidance to students at school level. This degree in education gives basic insight into the psychology of a child and helps the teacher connect with the students in a better manner. This course has a very strong value as far as the education system in India is concerned.
The course can be taken in both mediums – English and Hindi. A teacher holding a degree in any of these two mediums can continue in the school of the same medium. Day by day the value of a B.Ed. degree is increasing. The B.ed degree course can be opted once the candidate has finished a basic graduation in any of the streams like Bachelors of Commerce (B.COM), Bachelors of Arts (B.A), Bachelors of Science (B.Sc). This is required as these basic degrees develop a base as to where does the interest of the candidate lie and what does he or she likes to teach. This way the training is more channelized and streamlined. B.ed is a practical based course, it teaches how to use teaching tools, how to deal with children, how to develop a positive atmosphere in the class.
